Children and Family Ministries
“People were bringing little children to him in order that he might touch them; and the disciples spoke sternly to them. But when Jesus saw this, he was indignant and said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.’ And he took them up in his arms, laid his hands on them, and blessed them.” –Mark 10: 13-16
J.A.M. Zone (J.A.M. stands for Jesus And Me) is our Sunday morning educational program for children ages Kindergarten through 5th grade. The kids meet in the Chapel for gathering time and then divide into grade levels. Within their grade levels they rotate through different stations from one Sunday to the next, using different hands-on approaches to learn the Bible and to grow in their relationship with God. There is a “shepherd” for each grade who is the leader that travels with them from station to station. Each station is led by other volunteers. The current stations focus on art, computer, cooking, games, music, science, storytelling and video.
Our church provides a loving, clean, safe nursery staffed by qualified Christians. The nursery is open for children from birth to age 5 on Sunday mornings from 8:15 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The nursery is also available for any meeting for church event as needed. Kid Care is available for meetings and other church events as needed for children over age 5 through fifth grade (especially for Agape meetings). Please contact the church office if the nursery or kid care is needed other than on Sunday mornings.
