United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women (UMW) are a strong and vibrant fellowship playing an important role in the life of this church. Women of all ages are welcome to be a part of a circle of women who meet monthly. UMW holds the annual Holiday Fair at First United Methodist Church, an event enjoyed by everyone within the congregation and from the community. Several Circles (women's fellowship groups) meet each month at different locations, according to the following schedule:

This UMW Unit is actively involved in missions. One outreach is providing health kits for needy children in this community. On the second Monday of each month, members meet in Wesley Hall to cut fabric for heath kit bags. Please come join us!

Nursery care may be arranged for any UMW meeting by calling the church office and the Nursery Coordinator at least one week prior to the event.

Program: A Quilts Program Titled "Blessings and Bedcovers", By Jeananne Wright
This slide and trunk show encompasses 200 years of quilt history as Jeananne shares poignant stories of the quilts in her collection. Each quilt is accompanied by a Bible verse, and the program is filled with humor and wisdom.
