ROAM : Reaching out to Older Adult Ministries

ROAM is the way in which FUMC's members and friends extend caring actions to older adults who may not be able to participate fully in the life of the community or the congregation. ROAM works to do the following:

.....   Visit or call members of the church who are unable to attend our worship services. The visits and calls are short, friendly and made in the name of the church to let them know that our church cares about them.

......   Mail cards to older members of the church on their birthdays and during time of stress or illness

......   Interview senior members of the congregation for our church newsletter (The Spire)

......   Plan monthly outings for senior members of the church

......   Provide transportation services to church on Sundays and other outings

We welcome anyone who is interested in making sure God's love is known by every person, especially those who are older and who may be feeling left out! New ideas for loving and caring action are always welcome!
