Katy Risinger

My name is Katy Risinger. I’m married and have two wonderful children. My husband Mark is a network administrator (translation – computer wizard). My daughter Michelle is 13 and an 8th grader at Westview Middle School (she’s also a musician), and my son Jacob turns 17 this month and is a senior at Longmont High School. His free time is spent as an ice hockey goalie. We also have a dog and two cats.
My educational background includes early childhood education and business. I worked many years in the corporate world in administration and finance. Although my education took me in one direction, God had other plans. I’ve been a children’s minister for the last five years and have loved every minute.
I’m blessed to be serving God, and I’m looking forward to experiencing the spiritual growth of our children and the body of Christ at Longmont First United Methodist Church. |
Dan Chaikin |
| Daniel Chaikin holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Manhattan School of Music. He taught and performed classical piano in New York before moving to California, where he developed his passion for jazz by founding RemRad, an original ensemble. Dan was RemRad’s principal composer and led the group to success in radio, television and concert venues. Desiring to pursue other musical ventures and inspired by music for the church, Dan was the Music Director at Irvington Presbyterian Church in Fremont, California, conducting the choir and leading the praise band for eight years. Dan relocated to Longmont, Colorado in 2007 and sang with the First United Methodist Church choir for the last year and a half. He is very excited about being FUMC’s new choir director.

Ty Stewart |
I was born awfully young and don’t really remember much about it. I was born in the town of Great Falls Montana, first daughter with five other siblings. I lived in California for the last almost 40 years where I had 5 wonderful children, 4 sons and 1 daughter. I always wanted lots of girls and my sons came to the rescue with my wonderful daughters in law. They in turn have given me the “joys” of my life, 6 wonderful grandkids.
I married Kelly Stewart in 2009 after loosing my husband to Cancer. My life has been so blessed with this wonderful man, and the added blessings of six more “joys” along with two more sons and two more daughters, and my first son in law too!
I am a post certified police and fire dispatcher, I’ve been hospital manager for two large veterinary hospitals, administrative assistant for a 16 physician cardiology practice, ran my own industrial cleaning company, was head of catering for a fine dining restaurant, dispatched of course and played chauffer for my kids and all their friends, voted best “Kool-Aid Mom” on the block.
