Chancel Choir

This adult choir performs a wide variety of music, from Baroque settings to contemporary gospel. The Chancel Choir is part of each 10:30 am worship service and ministers its music at many other special worship events scheduled throughout the year, such as all-music Sunday.

Be a part of the entire season, or just be involved as your time permits. Rehearsal is in the Sanctuary every Thursday evening, from 7:00-8:15 pm under the direction of Jude deLaubenfels. Warm up is at 10 am each Sunday following the 9:00 am Informal Service/Sunday School hour, just prior to the 10:30 am Traditional Service.

Wesley Anns (For ladies only! Sorry, guys!)

The Wesley Anns are a multi-generational female choir with lots of energy and vitality. They perform during the 10:30 am Traditional Service once a month. This group is also in high demand within the community for special events, especially during the holiday season! They also participate in special services for worship, just as the all-music Sunday service. Rehearsals are held every Wednesday morning from 9:00-10:00 am. For more information, contact Diane Hansen 303-651-6240.

Joyful Jamboree

This is the children’s choir at FUMC, open to all children ages four years through fifth grade. The Joyful Jamboree gives children the opportunity to participate in and learn about music. This group performs once a month for the 10:30 am Traditional Service and is directed by Allyson Ellis. Rehearsals are every Tuesday afternoon from 5:45-6:30 PM in the Music Room.

Bell Choir

The Bell Choir Ministry is a long-standing tradition at FUMC. We are blessed to have a five-octave set of Malmark Bells. This has become an outstanding group that has participated in regional bell festivals. This group performs for worship once a month and participates in other worship services, such as the all-music Sunday. This group is open to people of varying abilities—come and learn about playing! Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 8:15-9:00 pm following the Chancel Choir rehearsal under the direction of Ginny Cirone.

Chimes

Our chimes are played each Sunday morning for the enjoyment of those arriving and those already in the church at 10:00 am following the 9:00 am Informal Service, during the gathering and fellowship time.

Morel Pipe Organ at FUMC

The two-manual, 18 rank pipe organ at FUMC was first installed by the Reuter Company in the original FUMC building and started as 10 ranks in 1946. It was moved to the present building in 1959-60 and 4 ranks were added at that time. Additional ranks were added through the years to bring it to its current level.

A new console was built and installed in 2000 by the Morel Organ Company of Denver. There are 9 levels of digital memory, a transpose function and MIDI capabilities including the ability to record and play back. The Chimes were reworked and an exterior Carillon was added in 2002.
