12 in 12, Sager Brown Mission Trip October 7-12, 2012
Apostle; one who is sent out. Disciple; a learner, a follower. Jesus chose 12 as his disciples, as his apostles, while he was here on earth. The UMCOR Sager Brown Depot in Baldwin, Louisiana, is the headquarters for UMCORs relief supply operations. Approximately $4 million in supplies are shipped each year from the Baldwin campus. More than 2,000 volunteers that come through Sager Brown each year make these shipments happen. Shipments of birthing kits, school kits, health kits, sewing kits, layette kits…travel around the world from Baldwin to help those in need. First UMC will send 12 to the Sager Brown Depot in October - “12 in 12”. If you can hear yourself say “Here I am, Lord”, FUMC can make that happen!
