SHARE: Serving Him Always…Reaching Everywhere.

Our Mission Statement proclaims, “FUMC is a community of faith where all are welcome and invited to become followers of Jesus Christ. We are on a journey together seeking to grow in God’s love through spirited worship, active learning, joyful service and loving fellowship.”

The outreach ministries of our church illustrate living this mission statement in so many ways and on so many levels. We follow the example of Jesus who prescribed service, who taught peace, who lifted the lowly, who treated each and all as God’s children. Our goal, as Christians, is to share His light, to share His love and to share our faith in all we do and to plant His seeds of kindness everywhere we go.

Our actions portray His love and our actions should lead us - one by one, one and all - into a closer relationship with God. It is important to actively express His love and show that this identity will support our mission statement.

The FUMC SHARE Team is here to serve.

Apostle; one who is sent out. Disciple; a learner, a follower. Jesus chose 12 as his disciples, as his apostles, while he was here on earth.

The UMCOR Sager Brown Depot in Baldwin, Louisiana, is the headquarters for UMCORs relief supply operations. Approximately $4 million in supplies are shipped each year from the Baldwin campus. More than 2,000 volunteers that come through Sager Brown each year make these shipments happen. Shipments of birthing kits, school kits, health kits, sewing kits, layette kits…travel around the world from Baldwin to help those in need.

First UMC will send 12 to the Sager Brown Depot in October - “12 in 12”. If you can hear yourself say “Here I am, Lord”, FUMC can make that happen! Contact ,
