Jeanne Dworak  (Youth Ministries)

Jeanne loves kids! She has been a mother for over 18 years and has a lot more time to put in! Serving God as FUMC's youth director is a "dream job" for her. She has been a member of FUMC since 2005 and prior to becoming Youth Director, she facilitated the fulfilling Agape Mom's group.

Jeanne was born in Pasadena, Texas and has lived in Colorado since she was 13 years old. She is a proud graduate of Skyline High School. She is married to Anton Dworak, a Longmont native. In addition to raising their kids – Naomi, Alfred and Lela – Jeanne has been active in the Longmont Community. In the past she has served on various PTO Boards and is currently serving on the Central Elementary School PTO. She was a member of the Longmont Jaycees and an active supporter of the Tiny Tim Center and has been a sponsor for many years of Tiny Tim's Travel auction.

Jeanne's business experience includes serving as bookkeeper for many private property owners and as a practice manager of a busy OB-GYN practice. She is excited about working with the youth of FUMC in their exploration of faith and journey to build a personal relationship with God as well as to enjoy their fascinating years as teenagers in general.

Misty Bone (Children & Family Ministries)

Hi. My name is Misty Bone. I was born in Colorado and moved to the Phoenix area with my family when I was 4. I moved back to Colorado when I was 13, and though I thought I'd freeze to death that first winter (I don't know WHAT I was thinking moving from Phoenix to Colorado in January!), once spring arrived I knew I was home! I absolutely enjoy all Colorado has to offer and the active lifestyle living here allows you to have. My husband Corey and I met while I was still in high school and just celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary this past Thanksgiving. Corey and I have 2 amazing little boys. Kaiden is 5 and Zack is 2, and boy do they keep us going! They each have such unique personalities, and yet are so similar its often uncanny.
Corey and I began attending FUMC in 2006, shortly before Kaiden was born. We immediately felt we had found a church home! Soon after Kaiden was born I began attending Agape Mom's group and soon found the best group of women I will ever have the privilege of knowing in my life! This fall I took over as leader of the group and am getting my first opportunity to spread my spiritual wings amungst my peers. How much more fun can a girl have?
I began working with the FUMC kids during VBS in 2007 and began teaching the Sacred Stage Sunday School class in fall 2007. I LOVE these kids! I have watched them mature and grow in life and in their life with Christ so much over the last 4 1/2 years that I can not express how proud I am to be a part of their lives! Being one of their teachers has taught me so much over the years about who and what God wants us to be. I can not imagine my life without the experiences I have had with these kids, and am THRILLED to be given the opportunity to be their leader! I am excited and energized to begin my journey as Children & Family Ministries Director. I have so much enthusiasm and so many ideas to infuse this program and make it a time that the kids look forward to all week long! Thank you to all the parents who have given me the opportunity to guide your children in their walk with Christ!
